October 2008 - "Dutch Army achieves 20-fold reduction in battery replacement by switching to Hawker A+..."

March 2005 - "I have my own test procedure called "trial by fire" in which Hawkers have passed with flying colors. I have been using Hawkers in Afghanistan, Fort Campbell, Fort Polk, Kuwait, and now Iraq. They have been through extreme heat, winter cold, constant use in combat, sitting for weeks on the line at home, or for months on ships coming to and from the Middle East. The vehicles were equipped with multiple communication platforms, operating with the vehicles running and turned off and have had no problems with any vehicles using Hawker batteries. Two weeks ago, I replaced my first set of Hawkers EVER, due to operator neglect, compared to over 60 Exide 6TMF batteries so far during Operation Iraqi Freedom alone."

January 2005 - "The 4th Infantry Division's 2nd Brigade Combat Team switched to Hawker batteries prior to deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to switching to Hawker batteries, the vehicles could operate for an average of only 30 minutes on battery power before the engines had to be started to re-charge the batteries. After switching to Hawker, the battery operating time increased from 30 minutes to at least 4 hours (8:1) before a recharge was needed. Also, on the average, Hawker batteries lasted four times longer than the 6TMF flooded lead acid batteries. From a cost perspective, the Hawkers are cheaper to procure simply because they outlast the 6TMF by a margin of 4 to 1, they save fuel by requiring less frequent starting of vehicles and recharging, and reduced engine wear surely saves on repair costs. Fewer hours on engines translates to decreased operating costs. Hawker batteries are more efficient allowing soldiers to operate more effectively."

July 2004 - "The supporting OMS of the 1/181 FA BN installed Hawker batteries in 18 MLRSs during Feb 03 (10 batteries per MLRS). They were mobilized in Apr 03 thru Jun 03 at Ft. Campbell and had daily vehicle exercises in the motor pool plus a 12-day exercise in the field. They have NOT had one Hawker go bad yet! They have had one LRU equipped with Hawkers go down in the last three months during IDT use, and normally they lose three per IDT each weekend with the conventional flooded batteries. The OMS mechanics feel the steady and stronger current provided by the Hawker battery has decreased maintenance downtime on the MLRS electronic components as well."

July 2004 - Comment from the Director, PMO, Stryker Brigade Combat Team, regarding Hawker Batteries in Stryker vehicles:
"As far as the performance of Hawker Batteries in Iraq, so far all reports have been very positive. NONE of the Hawker Batteries have been replaced!"
